Re: Next Gen GM Full Size trucks...

It is a little more complicated than just "moving up the trucks" when you are talking about a major redesign of a 900k+ volume vehicle (whose platform spawns several hundred thousand more SUVs).

It's not like they just throw darts at a calendar to pick the launch of the next design...

I guess we'll see how major the freshening of the F150 is in '07. I'd guess it will be a slight restyle and interior freshening, much like the '03 Silverados got.

GM's very dated trucks arent hurting them as bad as everyone is making it out to be . The last sales data I saw , Fords new truck was barely outselling the Silvarado and Sierra . I do think GM's sales will slip a lil in 05 , and Fords will probably grow . There are some incredible deals on brand new f-150's right now .

Hey, at least we don't have to worry about Dodge anymore. They are going to hit the Ram with the same ugly stick as the Dakota.............. pity.
lol , Im not sure the ugly stick drives the point home enuff The current Ram is the best looking truck on the market IMO .

The only thing that is hurting GM is the rebates are higher to sell the older trucks. GM actually out sold Ford in 2004 in Fullsize pickups by 35,000.
