If the Land Cruiser is what you'd consider full sized, I'd say that's pretty good proof that they can build some nice full sized stuff.

The Seq and pre-07 Tundra on the other hand are, IMO, far less confidence inspiring.

Yes, and just based on looks alone, I never cared for them...

The Titan had its head handed to it.

Still, it's interesting that the Chevy was the slowest and least fuel efficient, even with the top 6.0 liter engine. It may have caught the Titan with a 6-speed auto, but that Tundra engine is impressive -- similar to the latest Toyota V6s, which get great fuel economy to go with class-leading power.

Thing is, I'm sure the Chevy engine is a bit better than the DC hemi and way ahead of the poor Ford. It's a good thing they uncancelled the Hurricane engine. What were they thinking when they cancelled it? Or was that just a nasty rumor?

It was dumb for GM to debut these trucks with a A4 trans. !! I'm sure if they would have had an A6 the Silverado would have one that comparison.

Or if they didn't have a 4 second throttle delay -- makes me wonder how many other vehicles have that sort of thing (other than large diesel trucks and buses -- some transit buses with extreme emission control systems would take up to 10 seconds to get full power after mashing down on the accelerator).

The Silverado's 367 hp 6.0 vs the Tundra's 5.7 and the Titan's V8, too.

I hate dynos that are 'zoomed in' like this as they can be deceiving, but if you look for it, it's also easier to see differences.

Jeez!

I never thought I would see the day when a GM truck interior is rated great, but the powertrain was dogged!

Lack of 6-speed and the power management thing is crazy. I would not buy any truck with a 4 second delay in full power. Even if I could easily reprogram it.
Tundra looks ugly, but I would buy one over the Chevy just due to the drivetrain BS.
