New Silverado testing in Payson, AZ

Well, I guess I will have to start carrying my digital camera with me. GM has started tow testing with the new GMT900 trucks.

How do I know you ask??? Well, heading to the post office, and then to pick up my 3-year-old from preschool, I end up behind a Lincoln Mark LT........... and it had manufacturer plates on it. Thats odd, I thought. So, I get in the next lane to see if I can spy anything different about it. Thats when I see the fully bagged crewcab truck in front of it.............. also with manufacturer plates on it. Now I'm intrigued. I zig around traffic to get next to it, and end up next to it at a light. I'm stretching to see inside of it (the window is open), as I'm trying to figure out what brand it is. Low and behold........... what do I see, but a dash that looks remarkably similar to the new Tahoe/Yukon dash. I went around front to try to see anything of the grille or headlights............ good luck. They had this thing bagged and disguised so well, you can't see ANYTHING.

About the only thing I did notice, is that next to the Mark LT, it looked alot smaller. However, black can be slimming. It was wearing some pretty good sized wheels also.

I followed them out of town, and they pulled into a gas station at the end of town. Low and behold, there was a whole fleet there. There was another completely bagged truck, only this one was an extra cab, and was towing a trailer (they do alot of trailer testing up here because of the steep hills and climbs). There were also three other trucks that had complete covers on them. There was also a regular crewcab F150, and a Dodge Ram, and an Escalade.

All in all, very interesting. I will start carrying my camera, because if they are just starting trailer testing up here, I will be seeing them alot more. I don't think they will like me.

On a funny note, the guy driving the Mark LT did not look pleased at all, when he saw me almost standing up in my truck to see inside the bagged truck. hehe
