Thats sad if Impala goes in the "old fart mobile" direction. Impala should be the sport sedan of the line up, especially now since Pontiac is gone and there is nothing sport sedanish until you step up to Cadillac currently at GM.....and Buick doesn't count, at least not until the turbo Regal shows up.

I guess, except that Impala has never been what I would call a "sports sedan".

You are right, I was thinking more along the lines of the Impala SS. Which doesn't exist anymore along with most of the rest of the SS line up.
