New G8 TV Ad

You guys are getting slow.

Very cool idea, although the car looks pretty chunky in those angles.

Nice job! One of the best car ads I've ever seen.

Looks like the commercial was filmed 16x9 Widescreen HD, so when it is shown in 4x3 like in the link, the image proportions get all mixed up. Regardless its a really cool commercial, I hope they show it during all the basketball tournements coming up, since usually Pontiac is a big sponser.

I did see two pics of a transformers autobot on there. I'm guessing the G8 stars in Transformers 2.

It's the Solstice "Jazz" from the first moive.

Not sure you can make much of it, hell the Master Chief from Halo is in the pictures.

Wait a second. Pontiac has a good car backed by cool advertising? That is so 1960's.

Now we need GM to fork over enough cash to give this some airplay. Maybe they can scrap together the money by selling that stupid G5 display they have at the Toronto Blue Jay's Roger's Center.

Pontiac dealers are so assanine. Seriously.....the G5 is a joke but they DEMANDED it to replace the Sunfire.

Are you kidding me?

Pontiac sold 28,000 G5s last year.

That single body style G5 coupe outsold the entire Saab division's car sales.

That single model Pontiac G5 also outsold the regular Corvette.

It was Pontiac's 4th best selling car behind the G6, Grand Prix, and the Vibe (Solstice sold less that 17K models last year).

Not saying that the G5 was an act of genius, but by every measure you can throw at it, that's extremely impressive for a car with a zero advertizing budget, no history to draw on, no performance model, and is offered in a single coupe.
