New G8 Return to NA article

i do agree they'll say wtf it has 4 doors. must won't remember they made wagons too.
I was just giving you a hard time. But honestly you do need to remember that these plans are pretty far off, and often in flux. It would be best not to be making blanket statements on things that are so far off.
Think back real hard Mr. Oliver. I supported you in that whole thing, defended you against attackers and said other's would have done the same thing in your shoes. I called that you were setup and that likely many other people were in on it. Recall just who you are 'talking' to, on C&G I was 91z4me (now I don't bother to go there anymore).

It's going to make an interesting part of my book. Started blogging when I was 15 and the only person to operate both C&G and have a key part of GMI when it first started.
Should make for a fun - fun story.

I posted a poll to see what other Chevelle enthusiasts thought of the G8 as a Chevelle. Overwhelmingly negative...

Can't say I'm surprised of the result considering the audience that was presented with the poll. There's no car that will ever say Chevelle to them except their old Chevelle.

This + the GTO and Camaro have shown to both treat and mistreat a classic nameplate (IMO J Mays was right in the sense that a car needs to have DNA in its design).

I stopped reading when someone ACTUALLY suggested that the car would "fly off the lots" if they basically removed every modern creature comfort (air, cruise, power windows and locks) and put a vinyl interior in the G8. Apparently only then is it "good enough" to be called Chevelle.

I'll readily admit I'm not a Chevelle enthusiast, but what made them so darn special? They act like every car was a 454 LS6-powered beast that no modern vehicle could compare to. C'mon, it was your basic Chevy midsize coupe/sedan (most probably forget you could get a Chevelle sedan) that has since built the reputation of muscle car infamy because of some lower-production SS models.
G8 would be the consumate modern Chevelle. If Dodge could pull off the Charger.....
