Does no one even try to keep the weight down in 'sports' cars anymore?

 

Mitsu forgot the formula that made the 1st and 2nd gens so popular , even still today .

 

Subaru does it w/ all their cars, even w/ the AWD.

 

I don't think it will sell well. It doesn't really do anything great. FWD V6 cars are everywere. THis will be the last of the new Mitsus in the USA

I remember the 3000GTs being porkers too. I think Mitsu gets a little bit too preoccupied with gadgetry sometimes and forgets what's really important.

That thing is just awful...looks like a giant bubble, or an egg on four wheels.

The author of the review also not-so-delicately claims that buyers in the market for a coupe would not, and should not, even look at any other domestic than a Mustang, and the Mustang isn't good enough to lure import coupe buyers away.

 

Imo, the last real eclipse was the 99's. The 3rd and now 4th gen eclipses have been horrible imo.

 

Wow that's ugly, at lesat it got 60 more horsepower thant he previous gen.

They shoulda took everything Lancer EVO and applied it to a more 1st or 2nd gen like car , instead of building a truely kickarse performance machine wrapped in the insanely ugly Lancer . The last Eclipse was basically a Mitsu Stratus coupe , the new one u can see how there trying to emulate the VERY popular 2nd gen , but the formula for the car =

The price is around $20 - $24K. I suppose you could get a heavily discounted GTO of 2004 MY.
