It's always amusing seeing the advertising techniques that were used many years ago, although that commercial stands up pretty well (tie notwithstanding).
Have you guys seen the 1984 Corvette intro commecial? It, on the other hand, does not stand up very well. Let's just say you've never ... seen anything ... like this before
.
edit: found it on the web: http://c4corvette.com/videos/84vette.avi

That has to be the worst commerical ever, even for its time in 1984. You focus on the cheesy(or awesome for 84) computer animation more than you do the Vette. They don't even mention what type of engine the "new" Vette is. I guess the commercial really fits into the character of the C4, since it didn't age very well either.

F-bod's pop quietly in some odd places..
My favorite was when I was in Asian food store at the checkout line.. I think it was Botan rice candy beside me.. comes with stickers.. happy panda guy, funny asian people stickers, cute dog and puppy stickers.. and late 2nd gen Firebird.. lol
Wife was watching Racheal Ray $40 a day on Food Network, noticed she was driving a Camaro Convertable.
I think the people that do the Spike Powerblocks computer gnerated vid clips are partial to f-bod's cause seems like I swear I always see one. Been a while though since I watch one (lots of repeats on now)
Odd toy commercials have cars that look like a 4th gen..
The last real Camaro ad I saw, was by chance in college like 7 or 8 years ago, for the new LS1 4th gens I believe.. I was walking by the tv room, and it had a bunch of harley bikers riding down the desert highway, takng up the whole road.. The lead guy glances at his mirror and motions his group to split to let a car go thru.. and its a Camaro...
Then there's the kid that identify cars by sound.. and that really cheezy one with a bunch of 12 year old picking up some chick online, and when the question of what car they drive comes up, they type in Camaro and the chick sighs dreamily.... lmao
Oh years ago, my mom was flipping thru some high end fancy women's catalog (neiman marcus or something?) I remember cause something caught the corner of my eye when she was flipping thru.. (was that what I thought? no, can't be..) It was a purple Camaro LT1 Z28 convertable, suspended by wires, with a chick sitting on top of it. low profile rims and some custom interior stitching inside.... They wanted $60k for it!
