New Bullitt Movie....

Some of you may know that there will be a "Bullitt" remake this year. Brad Pitt will play Bullitt.

So.....

If Lt. Bullitt uses a 2005 Highland Green Mustang GT....to chase down the bad guys in a 2006 black Charger R/T Hemi...how cool will that be?

I've got goosebumps just thinking about it.

It would SUCK. Brad Pitt should be driving a 2001 Bullitt GT .

That would require some sort of warp in the time/space continuom.

You know.. for Lt. Bullitt, to drive a Mustang named Bullitt.

Yeah, someone brought that up on a previous post and I did some research on it.

The Chargers in the movie were equipped with 440's. They handily outpowered the Mustang's 390. And yes..it seems that old tale is true....the Charger did sandbag alittle.

Maybe Brad Pitt will get smart and take a B4C Camaro.

You're the smartest man on the planet!

And hopefully this time around the Charger won't lose 5 hubcaps.

Wow, wth would be the point of not using a Mustang? While the movie was decent (no award winner in my books), the only reason I bought it was for the chase scene. There's no way I'd even go to see the movie if I knew they were going to use something other than a Mustang or Dodge for the chase scene (especially a Japanese car). Nothing against Japanese cars, I own one of those too and I like them. It just wouldn't be right to ruin the movie.

I mean, could you imagine the remake of Gone in Sixty Seconds with out an "Eleanor" Mustang? What if it was a Skyline GT-R instead, blah! Nice car, but no Eleanor.

It's called "Bullitt" and is the remake of an original. Why would you use anything other than the "Bullitt" Mustang? Forget about using some *** import, it would be wrong to use even a Mustang GT or Cobra. It has to be the "bullitt" edition mustang, and a highland green one at that. Nothing else.

Without it, you don't have a movie.

Those are both true but this is very different generation than the one that is familiar with the original movies.

I don't know if Brad Pitt has the same screen presense as McQueen...

True, but the mustang has ties to the bullitt name....does a *** import like the 350z have it? no. There's that connection, something a *** import would lack.

The mustang is still an icon right? Did we not have a modern "Bullitt" edition mustang recently? And there's a rumor of a new one.

Bullitt mustang and "Bullitt" movie just go hand in hand.
