New Acura sedan.
New Acura sedan.
Just wanted to post that Acura will be introducing a RWD sedan or a concept of one at NAIAS.
Though this was newsworthy since Acura has been FWD since it's begining.

Guess I'll post this here also instead of starting a new thread.
Ford will display two Mustangs. The convertible that's made the rounds on the internet, and a coupe or fastback at the NAIAS.
Related story, Ford will be replacing Taurus with a version of the Mazda 6. http://biz.yahoo.com/djus/021213/0045000019_1.html

This is the Acura TS-X as promised. It is a rebadged Japanese market Honda Accord.

The Acuat TSX is of course a European Accord...it's FWD.
The Acura TL and CL are based off the American Accord--which just came out---so the next gen
TL would logically be based off them as well.
The only thing I can think of is that a RWD car might be the basis for the next gen and log over due RL.
But unless they are going to develop othern uses for the platform it's hard to see a RWD platform exculsively for the low volume RL

I'm not as up on foreign cars as I am on US & Australian vehicles, but Acura is in fact working on a RWD chassis. I got wind it would be debuted in concept or production form at next year's auto shows. I assumed the Weick picture was it.
It's only a few weeks till the shows. We'll know then. :0

Acura never had a RWD sedan? For some reason I thought that RL looks RWD, but I guess not.
