New 2007 Lightning?

I think this would actually make for a better Lightning. Looks like Ford might be following Chvrolets lead with 5 passenger seating and AWD. Looks like Chevrolet might have been a head of the competition in stead of behind like most thing (although a LS2 should have been in the place of that LQ9)
GMs Colorado SS would probably be about before then too.

Hmmmm, I didn't know the Silverado SS was a compact, supercharged, crewcab truck, that costs less than $40K. 
I like !!!!
Not too big, not too small, has its own name (I think SVT ______ gets tiring), AWD, looks the part, and should run like a raped ape !!!!
The L will be paid off well before that comes out.

I really like this sportstrac, but a part of me is wishing it isn't the "replacement" for the full sized Lightning truck.

The new Sport Trac is coming out next year as a 2007MY truck. According to the article, this SVT version will be out a few months after that.
The prototype is coming out at the auto show next week.
What a pleasant surprise. Ricks already planning on the purchase from the same dealership we got the Lightning from. LOL He hopes you can get that awesome burnt orange metallic.
Now I have to dig up some redesigned Sport Trac interior pics for him. He hasn't been this jazzed since the Ford GT was announced. LOL

The Sport Trac Adrenalin is derived from the next-generation Sport Trac, which will debut in May 2007.
That puts it over 2 years from now at the earliest!

It is a typo. I think it is supposed to say "May of 2006, as a 2007." Everything I have read on the Sport Trac says it will be a 2007MY vehicle.
I guess we will know more next week.

Yeah I'd go along with that. A SC 3V ALUMINUM BLOCK 4.6
The iron block is dead and the DOHC head is reserved for the really high end stuff. Ford GT and Shelby GT500

ehhh, i don't really like it
it looks ok, but not really anything i'd look at buying (anybody notice how it doesnt have door lines?)
but man, if only we had a colorado ss coming out
i'd take that over a malibu ss any day of the week and twice on sunday
