In Europe, the Focus is more than just an economy car. That may explain why it's different than the focus's we're used to seeing here.

Even In America, there are focus's models with things such as leather seating, 500watt Mach sound system, Traction Control, HID's, etc.... Not bad for an economy car. Try finding that kind of equipment in a civic or cavvy.

 

I think it's pretty cool. The Cobalt better look pretty dang awesome if GM plans to compete in that segment these days.

 

Just wait until you see a production photo before you crown this car the new standard of economy car design.

The "look" is all in the stance. Jack it up 3 inches, subtract the wide tires and 3 inches off the wheels and what you are left with is a car that doesn't look nearly as good and the whole muscle look is all but gone.
