New 02 Camaro SS and Trans Ams

With that massive depreciation you'll face driving it off the lot, and the fact the car's been sitting for a minimum of 2 years, wouldn't it be better to simply buy a good low mileage 2002 from someone?
I'd imagine even 2002s coming off lease, going on dealer lots can be had with extended warranties at a pretty sizeable savings over basically throwing excess money at a dealer just because a car sat on the lot all that time.
Remember, most all 2005 cars are already in production, so you will in effect be buying a 3 year old car for the price of a brand new 2005.

Anyone paying MSRP for a 2002 Camaro SS or TA is an a$$. It will drop about $10,000 in one day.
You can get a used 2002 SS with under 10,000mi for $22K or if you need to spend over $30K there are some crazy deals on base no option Vettes for $36K+
