For the commercials they can use that Ted Nugent song from the 80's... "Terminus Eldorado"...

 

That's it! A Cadillac Camaro!!! It all comes together. Cadillac was the other team working on the 2nd "streetbike". GM couldn't get sigma from cadi, so they gave them the Camaro name.

long hood, i would suspect a v12 - v16

 

I know this isn't solid news, but MotorTrend said the XV12 might be too expensive to make and the V16 is just simply out of the question, but GM is working on a V10 (LS2 + 2 cylinders basically) that might make it to this car. I always wanted to see the V10 LS1 in production, now we might actually get to see a V10 LS2

 

Cowl height doesnt seem to be a problem on that Caddy.

 

The obvious and only correct (except maybe Eldorado Biarritz) candidate. Too bad they won't name it that, even if they do build it.

 

One more thought (I hope this hasn't been suggested already).

We have heard that a coupe version of the XLR is on the way. When I first looked at this, I had in mind a large car, but if you scale everything down and look at the headlamp and tailamp treatments on this thing, it looks kind of like a stretched XLR (a 2+2 version - after all, why do a coupe XLR, it already has a metal roof). Maybe Cadillac is thinking of a pair of small coupe/verts ala Merc with their SL and slightly stretched SLC from the 80's.

And the thought that this could be a cousin to a new Camaro would bode very well for our beloved F-body too.

Then again, maybe WAY off base.
