Lightbulb NAIAS - So what's coming next month?

With all the recent "excitement" we've had on other threads, I've noticed a lack of discussion about what's coming at next month's NAIAS. (YUP - it's only another month away already!)

So what say we all speculate and converse about the surprises to come (from all camps) and just have some good ol' car-guy fun, eh?

To kick it off, I'll post a link to the November NAIAS newsletter which lists a few models that are already "registered and advertised" to be there.
LINKY...
Notice the production models to be there include the Ford Mustang, Five-hundred, Jag X and S-types, BMW 6-series, SLR McLaren, and Volvo S-40.
Concept vehicles registered include the Jag RD6, and the Mazda RX8 Hybrid.

I find it most interesting that some highly anticipated models are not yet registered, like the C6, or the new Lightning. I'd think they would want the extra "buzz" about such anticipated unveilings. Regardless, there will definitely be some "surprises" unveiled there.

Also in the newsletter, I found an interesting article about GM's new Design Chief - Ed Welborn. He's standing in front of two concept cars - the GM "AUTOnomy" and the Olds "Aerotech". The Aerotech could be a super-sleek version of the departed F-car IMO. Look at the low-raked pointed nose. Obviously and older concept, but cool none-the-less. Could it be passed over to Caddy or Pontiac for a tamer street car perhaps?

So, hense the fun begins... Let's hear what facts you guys know, and what surprises you expect. This should make a good bookmark thread to return to in 5 weeks and grade everyone's guesses!

i think we kinda already covered everything we know/care about in other threads. what we don't know, we obviously can't talk about and those who do know won't talk about it, so we'll all just have to wait and see.

What are the chances of a GM GTO sized RWD 2 door car as a concept ot otherwise. Is there a chance of a 2 door CTS at Caddy?

Production Solstice? Will the baby pontiac be released in coupe and convert. or just drop top?

I was thinking last nite as I was driving my 03 Cobra. It would be awsome to have 400-500hp AWD Camaro SS in 07. The more I think about it the more it just seems like a good idea. MAny Camaro's see every day use and after driving my 03 in rain I wish it was AWD. The next wave of musle cars will be coming with much higher HP #s and RWD with 18 inch Z rated tires dont do to well. Will we see a AWD concept this year?

Noticed (in the C&D pic--looks like a GM 3D rendering) that it's got the '53/54 style Corvette front end on it, like the original (?) Nomad concept. Nice touch.

Rest assured that you will NOT see a concept Camaro at NAIAS this year.

Now...don't lose faith.........but you won't see one this year.

Concept is neither coupe or sedan or truck.........

Won't comment on other Divisions..........not appropriate..........

We make this post a sticky about there not being a Camaro concept at the upcoming auto shows so the site can save bandwidth. That question is going to come up a thousand times...

What could the concept be then? LS2 motorcycle (ala Tomahawk)? SUV (or is that considered a truck?)? Update on the Autonomy? Bus?

A wagon is not considered a sedan or coupe or truck.
