My crack at modding the 3 concepts into 1 with Guion's feedback

Here's my crack at it . I based it off Crispy's car which I think looks totally awesome to begin with and changed some things to coicide with Guion's comments . I blended the mirrors into the fenders , slanted the windshield back slightly , tamed down the fender swishes and made the rear profile more like the 3rd cheers and gears pic . I made the center grill thinnner , and I keep hearing it comes to a point in the middle , so thats what I did . I added headlight covers , clear ones and made the headlights look a lil more contemporary . I didnt really know what to their , all the pics said headlights are slightly different ....but how? . I added a 4th type hood but the scoop doesnt come to as much as point , left the lower grill alone on crispy's car as it looks GREAT . Everything else I guessed on , but I didnt do anything dramatic . I just added subtle ground fx and the wheels I patterned off the double stripe 88-90 Iroc wheels .

Sorry about the quality of the pic , it is ...well , aweful . My scanner isnt working , so I had to take a digi pic of my sketch . No color or a alot of finish work .....just a qwik sketch I did this afternoon .

Of all the actual based concepts I think I like yours the best so far.

I second that. Hopefully GM has designed something very similar to this sketch.

wow, fantastic drawing skills. Very good, very good indeed. Dont get upset, but I still see retro, but out of a design like the one being described, there is no way out of it. Im figuring that the front grill area will look more like an Impalla nose then a first gen nose, which IMO isnt a bad idea.. I actualy kinda like that. Its just that the front of the car still has a very brick-ish look to it, where the last 2.5 generations had more of a sleek smooth nose, but again if its like the Impalla nose, I guess there is a difference. Thats where my big hang up is, is in the front end design. Rear fender arches are fine as most athletic cars have them, but you have done a great job with the green house. All in all, very cool man. I still like the nose on that blue one you did. I wish that GM would go with that nose. A good 8.8 out of 10!! Job well done.

Great to see genuine drawing skills instead of another "cut & paste" photoshop job.

Attach it to the ongoing thread at Chearsandgears, and see what comes back. At the moment, I'd say that is the genuine hotbed of 5th gen info at the moment, since there is a couple of people actually willing to post info on the car's appearence (even if I had the blueprints of the car infront of me, there's no way on earth I'd even mention it in e-mails, let alone describe the thing).

PS: I said "genuine hotbed" NOT as a swipe at this site, but because a couple of people connected with Camaro, directly or indirectly, are droping none too sutble hints over at C&G.

These are the type of hints I'd think certain members of GM would none-too-quietly hint to Jason they would like deleted from the threads if it happened here, based on a small example from 1st hand experience.

I think that these "leaks" are in fact a response from GM to its "loyalitsts" that are planning on leaving GM for, well, you know who...JMHO. After all the griping on here and other forums lately and realizing that they could lose customers, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if they allowed some "leaks" to spring. That and the plant finally coming down helped some.

I am incredibly happy at all this new information. It's what we need and was the right thing to do if all is legal and good.

Cool , since people seem to like this one ....I guess I'll spend the time to color it .

I may post it over there Guion , when I color it and get a true scan and not a picture of a picture

Thanks for the comments

I really don't see how they are getting way with it...I post anything and I have people calling me at numbers I didn't know they had...

That's about as close to the car I saw as any other drawing/photochop/sketch/waterpainting etc... out there. Only one thing was different the headlights lined up with the grille. They were small quad round headlights under the dark tinted covers. As you can see from your drawing the tapering of the grille forces them to be small. The sharpness of the grille and tapering is right on though. Great Job!!
