While I do get the joke, I still actually like it! Great photochopping

id rather have it evolve. make it look like a 4th gen in the same respect that a 4th gen looks like a 3rd gen. it's pretty obvious that the two styles are the same car, but is still a very much different car

Agreed. Styling from every Camaro can be traced back to the generation before, that's one thing I've loved about it.

The new Chevy coupe will be based on the SS concept.

Well, I'm disappointed that many of you don't like it. I do think I put the headlights too low, I think I will fix that later today. But I would really like the car to look similar to this. This one IS a little too 'Corvette' though, but I still like it. I really am disappointed that most of you don't like it. I was only following a very important car design rule that loosely states "if you can't tell it's a Camaro without reading the badge, then it's not a Camaro."

No need to take it personally, buddy. Really. It doesn't look BAD...it looks VERY nice but everyone has a different picture in their head as to what THEY want it to look like. You and GM and every single other car maker out there has the exact same problem.

I think your "official" wording in the thread title let everyone down when it really wasn't "official" to GM...but maybe "official" to you. That might have counted against your work in everyone's minds.

Still, don't get discouraged!

Okay I fixed a few things just now. I got rid of the buttresses or whatever on the roof (forgot to do that before), made the headlights wider and raised them, added the blinkers, and changed the interior color from that awful tan to a sort of dark charcoal-purple. I also changed the caption to something else, I have about 6 other captions on hidden layers to choose from lol, I couldn't decide what to put on it yesterday. What do you think of it now?

I like it... Although the front view does have a lot of styling cues from an LT1 4th gen... I realize that's the look you were going for, I think?

IMO, Your pic is what the LS1 4th gen's should have looked like - vs. a catfish. Subtle changes to the hood and front clip make a world of different.

I like the headlights too

i don't know if you're gonna convince 80% of the people on these boards it's good
like jasond said, it's not what everyone thinks the camaro should look like

me personally, we already have a c6 vette, we don't need 2
otherwise, it's a pretty good chop since i couldn't do anything like that

He photochopped that from a picture of a '93 Camaro when it was introduced. I'm not saying it's bad though. It's a good photochop. Kinda kewl looking.

Thought I'd clarify what the picture was of originally though.
