t-tops are pointless, i think i've had mine out maybe 20 times in 4 years and they ALWAYS have the sun shade installed because its impossible to remove while inside the car.

Correction, they are pointless to you and you explained why. And that's ok. There are many more (like me) who will miss them greatly on the 5th Gen.

And what exactly is the point of this glass roof option? If I'm spending $2,000 on an optional roof configuration, it certainly better not be there at all when I don't want it to be.

I would buy this , even if it didnt open . Im not a vert guy and I just cannot deal with solid roof . I rarely open the roof in the SS , but I love the glass above ...the shade is never closed unless it really cold

The all-glass roof is not a new concept for the Mustang, but Ford offering it is.

Been out since 2005.
Developed by CDC for SEMA in 2004/2005.

For that price, I would probably choose T-tops if available, but I would definetly be interested in this. It's a really nice effect on the cars I've been in with it.

It would be nicer, and I would be more interested if it opened, even if that meant rails through... Camaro better have something for us.

I think its pretty neat. The only reason I like any of it(sunroofs, TTops, targas, etc.) is so I can look up at the sky at night and ****. Looks cool

I left mine off for days at a time this summer. Even had them off a few times this fall in cooler weather. Really depends on where you live I guess and how much you like fresh air.

Agreed. I love the idea, and believe it will be popular despite the price. I love my Formula's t-tops, and on moonlit nights they are awesome even if not removed. Kudos to Ford for offering this.

I like it. Not enough to spend 2grand on it, but i could see myself choosing it if it was a $800 option.

It's neat. I might consider it if I was going to buy one. But I wouldn't be sad if I got a normal roof either.

The place that put a sunroof in my GTO had a Glassback Mustang GT as the shop car. They had to drive me around in it, and the thing was so hot inside I about sweat through my boxers. After that, there is no way in the world would I want a huge glass roof on any of my cars.

I guess that's why they have the rolling shade on the factory option. I've had t-top Firebirds for years... in hot weather I just crank up the AC higher. In fact the only time I really get hot in my Firebird is when the tops are actually removed... and even then it's not an issue if you're rolling. I'm not understanding what's so uncomfortable
