Mustang T-Top Option?

Any info on when we can expect the Mustang to get T-Tops? I saw some posts saying 06MY, does anybody know when exactly its coming. I was going to order an 06 GT soon and wondering if maybe I should wait a bit.

Last word was some time over the 2006 model year.

Works being done by an outside company. Also with Ford still selling more Mustangs than they can make, I'm pretty sure they aren't rushing anybody to get it to market. But it is coming.

I would think they would save it and spring it when sales start to fall off. If they introduce it now, they are being very aggressive even with no competition. Ford is not resting on their laurels. They must have known that GM was working on something all along.

If they can find a way to make it work, go for it.

The truck without the mach sound syetem is actually quite large. If they had hard stackable cases, you could put them back there and still go to the grocery store.

When can I have the landau top with the opera windows, velour interior, and fake wire-wheel hubcaps to go with the T-tops.

Thirdeded, t-tops on that car are going to look terrible.

What is the big deal with doing t-tops on the Mustang anyway? The last time they were available was on the fox body's right? So they release the new mustang, it sells well and then they decide to change it? It isn't like t-tops kept the camaro/firebird around you know?

Just doesn't make sense to me to offer something that it doesn't seem like the market wants. If there was no convertible, maybe.

Re: Mustang T-Top Option?

T-Tops were on only the mustangs in 87-88 GTs tho. It was a worthless option because T-Tops and mustangs are like putting Hemi badges on a Neon. Why? Mustangs look terrible with T-Tops. F-bodys can use that look because they are lower and more sporty looking. I have a 95 Camaro and my brother has a 98 Mustang and everyone agrees that my car is better looking. The explanation is the same...It looks so low and long it just flows with the entire car. The mustang gets comments like.... why is that thing so narrow lookin and high off the ground. My fav. you my sister used to have that car when she was 8, it was her barbie dolls car!

T-tops were an option from the 79 model year clear through 88, and not just on GT's.
