Just another way to market and get sales. Before you guys start making fun of it, there was Camaro clothing and things when the 1st Gens came out to advertise also.

Which is why they sold so many of them.
I highly doubt that, there were many more reasons to buy one. IIRC it was in early 66 for the 67 model only.

The car was made as a competitor to the Mustang, the mass appeal to both sexes was part of it's early success.

This is going to be the new present that husbands buy their wives only to find them completeley unsatisfied. Maybe next they should sell perfume in "New Car" and "Burning Rubber" scents.
