MT: "Chevy is upgrading its standard for SS packages"
MT: "Chevy is upgrading its standard for SS packages"
Before we get started, yes, I know Motor Trend is not the greatest place for car news.
Nonetheless, I'm wondering if there's any truth to this. The rumor is that the Equinox will get a "Sport" model instead of SS, and there will be no Malibu SS either, the reason being that SS is reserved for more serious performance cars.
It sounds like a good idea to me. I think most of us here agree that the SS badge has been a little overused in the last couple years, and I'd like to see GM up their standards a little in that regard.
Apologies if this is a repost. Apparently the "SS" appears so frequently that it's not a valid search term and is automatically ignored.

I think this is the main one about it, but I seem to remember reading a quote from a high ranking Chevrolet person also...
