Exclamation "Motion" Camaros gowing in production!

I forgot on wich magazine that I have seen this, but Berger is on the move right now in making 25 "Motion" Camaros using 02 SSs.
Anyone know any details on these cars?... I would probably think that the price tag on these bad boys will be way up there!

GMMG will build them........as they have ALL of the tuner Camaros.

Matt said that as soon as Berger and Neil Rosen (sp?) the originator of the Baldwin-Motion Camaros, agree on some details, that the cars would be built....but as usual, they'd be HUGE $$$$.

Even more exciting is the possible building of 25 replicas of the recent GMPD Sunoco #6 car! Complete with body kits, these cars would cost well north of 6 figures, as the body kit alone adds $25k!!

So GMMG is building these cars huh? How many un-owned Camaros did they purchase from GM in the 2002 model run? It seems like they just have 100 or so cars sitting on a back lot somewhere to be upgraded and sold for big $$$$.

I agree. It's pretty rediculous and not at all worth it. And I'm a Camaro junkie.

GMMG did 69 ZL1's for 2002. They were a little out of my price range as well.

THe ZL1 could be had with

405HP LS6 for $50,000 or
600HP 7.0L for $90,000

I'd love to own a Sunoco Camaro but not for $100K, I'd buy a Lingenfelter Twin Turbo Vette before that.

Hopefully the Sunoco Camaro will be a real race ready car like the showcar was (or appeared to be) and not just a GMMG ZL-1 with a body kit.

I agree, although it would be cool if a cheaper replica of the body kit could be purchased alone. That car looks absolutely awesome in person, IMO. I have to admit, though, I still like the ZL-1 better. Too bad it costs more than I'll make in several years......combined.

Exclamation

Don't forget...all of the ZL1 cars are sold....as will be the Motion replicas....and I wouldn't be surprised if all of the rumored Sunoco cars will be bought before production starts....it's a big world and people with $$$$ will snap these up.

Just think what they'll be worth in 20 years!

My personal opinion is that these kind of cars are great for our Camaro as they keep the mystique alive and the desire of the average Joe to own something that is related to it.

Sorry but the Motion cars are dead. There will be no Motion cars sold from Berger. His name is Joel Rosen the originator of Motion performance, of Baldwin Long Island. Legendary in many circles. But as per Matt Murphy of GMMG the deal went sour as all parties could not agree on the details. Joel wanted something, Matt wanted something and Matt Berger wanted something. Matt Berger owns these camaro's so in the end its his decision on how he wants the cars done. But him and Joel couldnt agree on all the specs of the cars so in turn that made things difficult. Matt from GMMG and Matt Berger are still going to work together and create a car. Some Motions would have been a really nice idea though. GMMG did create all the ZL-1 cars plus as you know all the earnhardt ss, blackbird, berger ss, and tom henry ss cars. If you look hard you can still find some ZL-1's but yes for at least six figures. If i left something out let me know and no im not affiliated with anyone of these groups.

The Motion cars project is dead, as i stated above!
The AD you saw is old and was put in print when they thought things would be going through months ago. Project is canceled now as far as Motion cars.
