also, i wish all the best of luck to Kris and Chris. BUT, considering what we've seen from Kris H. so far, I'm not convinced he's the right man for the job of designing a Camaro. not flaming at all. it's obvious he has tallent. i just personally don't like his style of, well style. but maybe i'm in the minority on that.

Crispys concept needs to go into production will just a few minor detail changes . That has always been far and wide my favorite 5th gen concept , while retro yes , it just looks tough and appropriate for the times . I however did not like Hortons version . I think with horton it was more the 3d media he choose . While he has quite impressive skill , it was just not proportioned right . It kinda , to me anyways looked like a characture of 69 camaro .

2 good hires IMO

This really isn't Camaro news. The design of the new Camaro is pretty much set in stone. These designers would certainly have an effect on other future cars though.

I agree with you about the Camaro, cars that these very talented guys will be working on won't come out until at least 2010. Maybe they can work on the 2013/14 6th Gen Camaro

I'm VERY glad GM hired these guys. I hope they get paid well so they stick around for a long time.

I'm confused. Did these guys get the job with GM, or are they just applying for the job?

Ya, I am confused too.

I read most of that stuff, but I can only find they are did or are going to interview (which is still great for them!)

They got hired. Pretty cool IMO. I wanted GM to get Kris Horton ever since i first saw his original concept years ago. Having Chris Pauwels is definately an added bonus. I wish them luck and design some bad *** cars for the the general

awesome. if there is a Camaro project underway, it couldn't hurt to have some enthusiast jump straight out of the market and have a bit of input.

do us proud!

edit: i'd love to be a "general oversight engineer" and nod my head "yes" all day, that would be sweet!

Whats that Wilson " thanks for the link " ... ahh no problem man, i don't mind looking for this stuff and posting it here. IMO the 2 young men that made Concept Camaro drawings and then were contacted by GM/Chevy for interviews classifieds as Camaro News.............

I dunno about that, although it is completely possible and if so a congrats are in order. I talked to Kris a week or 2 ago and last I heard he was moving to SoCal to work on designing model cars.

If the chassis the car is going to be based on isn't even final yet, how's the design etched in stone already?

I mean, we've gone from one chassis to another and back to the first one in the last 12 months...
