Do you have to worry about warranty issues with the Vector ECM and trans flash?

How did the Vector change transmission behavior?

Of course, the GTO improved about 10% after a semi-custom DiabloSport tune. That car, in both driveability and economy, was significantly improved with a tune. I just did a Superchips Cortex tune on my G8 yesterday; will be interesting to see if I get a comparible post-tune mileage improvement.
I was talking about this post with the Suburban highway numbers. I figured that they would be a lot better than that.

I think we were talking pure highway though. His 21.3 for a tankfull most certainly has some city in there. My city averaged about 16-17, but that's pure stop and go, no mile long cruises at 40mph.

Fair enough. Pure city is about 10mpg. Mixed is about 14 to 15. It is about what you want/need. With 4 kids, a sedan won't work. A minivan didn't have a good enough mpg increase to keep it.

Yeah, the 21.3 was just the latest tank and was about 60/40 highway/city. Keep in mind, as well, that with only 1,500 miles the L76 is probably not broken in yet, and may improve a bit after another 3 or 4,000 miles.

BTW, that was on 87 octane. I filled up with 91 after that tank and, based on what I have read, expect a small bump from premium fuel.

It will void the warranty, this is why I ordered a separate ECM with the tune... That way I can swap back in the stocker in case I need service. The transmission is a separate issue... I'm taking my chances on that one. It does act a TON better than stock... they had issues when they first came out!

I'm over 45K on the Odometer and it's had no issues...
