I saw this on the news the other day and thought it was kinda cool since it was so close to me.

It is cool, but also kinda of funny. Chinese firm buys British iconic roadster company MG then builds them in Oklahoma. Who would have seen that coming back in the day?

I think they'll be missing GM quite soon.

I can't imagine that plant would need a work force near half as large as GM did. They'll probably higher a few of the skilled workers to make middle management and then the ones with the least seniority to fill the ranks at the lowest price possible.

they said they need something like 550 people at the mg plant, the gm plant had over 2000 people working IIRC. Im not sure how many people they will need at the research facillity and global headquarters or whatever, but i guess those would be a different kind of people than the people working at the gm plant.
