That wouldn't have been good...........can you imagine if there was a Mercury Cougar and a Chevy Panther being built at the same time?!

..................

Maybe it's because I've always known and loved Camaros, but trying to think of it with any other name is like suddenly finding out that your best friend, or g/f actually has a different name!?........it just wouldn't seem right.

Then Banshee made it, though... as a Firebird. A friend of mine actually owns the rights to the name Banshee, and has a beautiful red one.

The Chapparal was an early 60's race car. The Camaro was originally called Panther.
