Re: MazdaSpeed3.

I wonder if it'll be hatchback only and just how it'll be detuned. I like it though. I wish Pontiac had the same execution in their "performance" derivatives.

It'll probably be pretty good car considering how the 3 amongst the top of the segment.

I have a feeling my first new car might be between the turbo cobalt (if that happens) and this turbo mazda3....

I'd rather go with the chevy, if they get that motor in instead of the supercharged one.

WIth GMs staged packages 260hp is easy for the supercharged Cobalt. Why do they need a turbo charged one?

Turbocharger wont fit in the Cobalt. Their is going to be one in the Solstice though. HHR might also get it.

Why would it fit the HHR and not the cobalt? Many many other fwd cars use a 2.0 turbocharged motor.....

Well, for starters...it's better to start off with 260hp on tap instead of 205 . Secondly, turbo > S/c. I too would prefer to see the new 260hp DI turbo ecotec in the CSS.

There is all kinds of room behind the engine back around the the exhaust manifold . Or even better , the entire passenger side of the engine bay is like the great desolate plains IMO . If the supercharger was gone , there would be plenty of room there too . HHR has the same engine bay as the Cobalt , if the HHR got it , the Cobalt SS for damn sure would too .

Mine dynod at 228.

turbo > SC is an opinion.

And the turbo in the cobalt isnt going to happen. Im not against a turbocharged ecotec in the Cobalt. I just dont see it happening.

Re: MazdaSpeed3.

Why detune the 275hp motor? DC doesnt seem to see the problem with a 300hp fwd SRT-4.

Re: MazdaSpeed3.

Blehh. Never really like the 3 anyways. Always looked a bit too tall for its length. I'd take a G6 GTP before that any day of the week, or a regular G6 for that matter.
