First the CTS, now the Malibu! Hopefully GM can keep this momentum rolling .

I just hope the car really delivers .

I don't think that Outsider is too bright. From what I can tell, he just responds to posts with a random selection of words and smilies.

Congrats to GM for the win - that's the second in a row, and against some tough competition.

Malibu beating Honda Accord this year and Saturn Aura beating Toyota Camry last year are huge wins.

Too bad the ol mantle display doesnt equal aything even remotely close to Camry or Accord sales . They might finally come close with the Malibu .

true, but if it's to turn around, it has to start with the product first and foremost.

On a related subject, I was a little shocked to see the Mazda CX-9 beat the Enclave AND the Tahoe Hybrid for truck of the year...

(Not to say the CX-9 isn't a nice crossover, but in terms of market significance and such...)

Sorry, I don't care for the car. Another boring 4 door sedan.

It might be a boring four door sedan, but the implication is greater than the sum of its parts. The world over is all to ready to right off american manufacturers as purveyors of clapped out pieces of **** that are about as adroit as a moldering coprse tossed from a train engineered by a bunch of ADD cursed drooling monkies kept on a short leash by a brigade of bean counters and here comes a domestic manufacturer that gets it right and beats the leaders in the market. The malibu might not be a Z06 or a ZR1, but its success is far more reaching than its moviestar stablemates.

Don't feed the trolls.

It's a good win for GM and the Malibu. Any good press or awards can do nothing but help sales.

We bought an Aura XR, very nice car for the money. We used supplier discount, and recieved $1000 off. Ending paying $22,500 for a 252HP car with a six speed tranny, heated seats, onstar, stability control and a very solid platform, you should hear the doors close, best I have ever heard. And 24 out of 25 crash stars, just about as good a score as you can get.

The Malibu has a nicer interior, the panel gaps are better than the Aura, the ride is supposed to be softer which my appease midwest and northeast folks more cause the Aura on 18's is a little stiff, like euro stiff.

GM needs to keep them coming. They have to win back folks and atleast get people into the lots. The NACOY award got us into a Saturn lot last year, the style and saftey of the car won my wife over.
