The biggest changes are in the rear of the car. They changed the shape of the rear side window, changed the taillights, and changed the exhaust routing. From the rear, it looks like a generic foreign subcompact.

Just wait until we get to see the ones with hubcaps.

Why does it look an seem like GM is moving the Aveo into a Vibe replacement/Caliber type vehicle... I think the Aveo name is way to weak to move anywhere above subcompact entry level.

i snapped a pic of a real one today. i think it was a base aveo, since it has a wheel cover instead of an alloy.

it looks better than the old one, but not as good as the one in the pics.

I certainly hope that isn't the RS, but it wouldn't surprise me.

With a car this plebeian (or any car that isn't designed as a style/performance car from the get go) the details are what make the 'sporty' version, especially design details.

The concept RS was awesome largely due to it's stance. (Created by the fender flares and more aggressive bumpers) The spy photos show a car that is completely devoid of that stance.

I'm sure it'll be a nice car, but that's not what GM needs to make a real impact. They need a home run.

Defiantly not the RS. Just look at the back of it. No fancy exhaust, no chrome trim pieces, plain Jane bumper cover.
