LNF has no home for 2010 :(
Looks like every LNF car is being canceled http://jalopnik.com/5246047/gm-axes-...important-ones Add the 2010 Solstice to that list too.
Will GM give these fantastic motors a new home? My vote is for the Malibu. I'd love to see a Malibu Sport with 18" wheels, 6 speed auto, and the 260HP Turbo 2.0L LNF. Buick Regal would be a good fit for that engine too, but that car is a year+ away, same goes for the Cruze.

I don't think we're going to see any performance cars from GM in a long while.
They've pretty much killed off all their performace cars.
The only ones left are the Camaro SS, Corvette Z06 & ZR1, and CTS-V.
Where would they put the LNF? Certainly not in a regular non-performance sedan. No, I bet the motor is done.
Glad I got my Solstice GXP.

This guy is going to use it.

Chevy takes the hardest hit, losing a number of its SS models, with the Impala SS, HHR SS Panel and Cobalt SS sedan cut for the 2010 model year. The Cobalt SS coupe will be cut later, at the end of calendar year 2009 or early 2010.The HHR SS will continue throughout the entire 2010 model year, ending in June 2010.
As you know, the LNF gets much better fuel economy in the Kappas than the base 2.4L even while having almost 90 more horsepower. I don't now why that would be any different in any other platform.
We know that GM's (and the industry at large) use of both direct injection and turbocharging is increasing, not decreasing. I've no doubt the LNF(or a spiritual succesor) will be around for a long time.
As we all knowt he LT1 was a great engine... until the lighter more powerful, more efficient, more refined LS1 arrived.
I just wanted to cover everything in one post so the thread didn't go on for 10 pages with people adding more each post.
