Man, I really like that look. Just one more obstacle for the 5th gen to have to overcome to survive when it comes back.

Damn, that f-in sucks. I would feel like I'm in a hospital sitting in that car.

Wow. I didn't know it was possible to build an even softer, uglier looking Thunderbird.

A while back a pic came out that alot of people thought was the rear of the new camaro(very camaro-esque rear, clay concept), and then it was said it was an upcoming Lincoln concept...I tried to find the pic but I can't remember what topic I saw it in...

Well, lincoln needs something other then town cars and continentals and navigator. Its an absolutely crappy luxury line up. Lincoln needs to revamp its image if it wants to stay alive, since its current clientel is dieing off. Other then livery services the only people driving town cars, are for the most part the elderly. The navigator has become yupi truck, the LS is being killed after this year, with no replacement in sight. The Zephyer is ok, but still not on par with caddy or anyother luxury brand.

I am all for domestic luxury cars, and i hope lincoln gets the hint that caddy is doing very well since they restyled their cars to make them more modern and more attractive to the general public not just the o2 tank crowd. I thought lincoln was on the right track with the LS and the Zephyer but it still needs more.

I think the intention would be to have substantially all new sheetmetal for Lincoln. Maybe filling the same slot that Velite would have.

I think the chassis/platform already has attachment points for the IRS. If they decide to do a mercury/lincoln version of the mustang, i think an IRS would be a must.

Wow, an uglier version of the Thunderbird.

I really liked the Mercury Messenger concept from a while ago. Cues from it would make for a distinct and appealing cougar. It's ultra-moderns look would be a contrast to the retro mustang ensuring the two cars wouldn't be mistaken for each other or simple badge jobs.

That would be a cool ad.

Yeah you'd think that, but who the hell knows. I never thought they'd dump IRS from the '05 Mustang...but they did. I thought for sure the SVT Mustang, (GT500), would have IRS....but it won't. Who knows what Lincoln may want to sacrifice on the altar of cost savings.*

*Word is that IRS will be under the Mustang within 3 years though.

That actually reminds me of a throwback to the 3rd gen Corvette, at least in how the cockpit is styled. It's definitely retro though.
