The lexus will be AWD, and slightly lighter then the V6 IS. The V8 is a lighter engine

I don't think that is likely. For one thing, currently the only IS available with AWD is the IS250. IS350 is rear drive only, and six speed auto only. Lexus lists 3527 lbs for rwd IS350. AWD IS250 is 3651 lbs.

How is the V8 going to be lighter? Aluminum 5.0L DOHC V8 vs. Aluminum 3.5L DOHC V6? I'm betting the V8 is heavier, but I could be wrong (if it's got lots of magnesium or something). Both are new rather engine designs...

Add the requisite bigger wheels/tires/brakes/sway bars, and I'm betting the IS500 will be significantly heavier than the IS350. Still probably lighter than the slightly larger CTS-V, but...

F? What kind of person thought that one up?
Seriously, of all the letters you can use, I think J and Q are the only 2 worse than that.

You'd prefer "L-finesse" perhaps (or whatever their premium version used to be called)?

Lighter than the old iron block inline 6. Not lighter than the new V6. Also, the wheels and drivetrain will almost surely be heavier to cope with the extra power. Then there's the bigger brakes and stronger suspension parts.

I'll guess 3800 pounds.

Well, for the common person, F is a lot easier to remember than a Z06, Z28, Sti, WRX or even GT.

Yea, but when you have marques like V, M, AMG, etc....F seems pretty well dumb. It doesn't have the sound to it, IMO.

F is not a sporty letter. You can tell that it isn't aerodynamic just by looking at it.
