I just saw the new STS commercial today and I liked it a lot. Very inventive and certainly got my intention. My mom even liked it and she is not into cars whatsoever.

Sadly though I must admit for a few seconds I thought it was a CTS and not an STS, unless its just me the front ends are nealy identical. I know they are in the same lineup but couldn't they differentiate them a little more?

 

Yeah the front ends are very similar, but the rear end is a dead giveaway.

 

I just got back from looking at the 5 STS's...sold STS's at that, and they really look NOTHING like the CTS outside of the basic Caddy A&S lines.....JUST like Pontiacs look like Pontiacs, BMW's look like BMW's, MB looks like MB, aand Audi looks like Audi.
The STS and the CTS's front arent too similar. The CTS looks much narrower then the STS, and it doesnt look as tall. Side profile between the 2 are very different.
Interior is also VERY different with teh STS's being light years ahead of teh CTS's. When I first saw the grill of the STS out of the corner of my eye, I thought XLR...till I saw the rest of the car.

and the STS commercial is pretty good. What a great idea! I love all of the agressive ads for the STS between mags and TV.

 

Well to you and me it may be obvious they are different cars, but many of my friends couldn't tell the difference between a 4th gen camaro and firebird.

I think they are great cars though, I am glad to see Caddy come back so strong.
