Lesser of two evils?

A lot of recent talk has shown fears of the Zeta-based Camaro as too large. However, there was a time that there was fear of a future Camaro being too small. If you, as a potential Camaro buyer, had to choose the lesser of two "evils", which would it be?

We all know GM is not going to get the future Camaro exactly right. Yes, the GM optimists will disagree with me, but lets be realistic.

I would much rather deal with a Camaro that is a bit too large, than too small. With myself being a larger guy, the absolute LAST thing I want is a Camaro nearing sport-compact dimensions.

Re: Lesser of two evils?

I think I'd rather it be closer to GTO size than 350Z size.

Re: Lesser of two evils?

Assuming that too big means heavier and slower, I'll go with too small

Re: Lesser of two evils?

I already have a ponycar that's too small... it's called a Mustang GT.

I'd settle for it to be closer to 3rd or 4th gen Camaro proportions, although I'd rather have something in between.

Re: Lesser of two evils?

Assuming I couldn't have a "perfectly" sized Camaro (not that I think that is a set dimension anyway), I would perfer to have them error on the side of being too big.

I don't like tiny little cars, and I think size offers a "presence" that you can't get from being too small...

Unless GM is going to put an LS2 in a car the size of a Mitsubishi Eclipse, I gotta agree with you.

GTO is about the right size for a Camaro (minus an inch or 2 of height).

Hopefully it will be too small, then it will weigh less.

V8 in a little car is always a good thing. Although if they make it too small and very impractical, it might not sell all that well

I say more GTO sized as it will be more of a civil ride. Im sure that there could be tweeks to the car to give it a lower stance and lower seat hight, as well as heavy rake and sleek deisgn.

Re: Lesser of two evils?

Bigger would probably be better for sales. Smaller would be more fun but basically turn it into a 2 seater.

Re: Lesser of two evils?

I'd rather have something too small (but lighter and faster) than something too big (and heavier and slower). But that doesn't mean I want a sport compact either! The GTO as an example is too heavy for my taste. Assuming a V8, manual 6-speed tranny and a fixed roof hardtop, the new f-bod with just the basic power options (windows and drivers seat) needs to come in ideally / realistically @ around 3400 lbs, but def. no more than 3500 lbs. Anymore and it's way too heavy for a modern hi-performance f-body in my book.

Re: Lesser of two evils?

4th Gen interior was too small
4th gen exterior was too big

GTO has a nice sized interior, i'm willing to lose trunk space for more back seat.
