As for the Firebird comming back, why are people even bothering asking?! The dang thing sold like 25,000 a year. No way it's comming back barring a letter campaign unlike one never seen before on this planet and even then it would be up in the air.

The last 2 or 3 years of the life of this car, word got around they were no longer going to make them. Outside of die hard fans, who in their right mind is going to buy a car that is no longer going to be made?
My understanding is that before 2000, the Camaro sold 40,000+ models, at times reaching up into 60,000 if memory serves. I don't recall seeing any sales numbers of Firebirds going above 30,000 during the 4th gen years.

I bet the movie being filmed is the new Triple X (XXX) sequel. The new GTO is going to be major part of the film. "The Last Ride" title is probably a code name for the movie, which alot of films get during production to throw off people and the media.

No, Last Ride is a TV show that will air on USA network in June. There is a commercial for it in another tread. It stars Denis Hopper, some other guy, and about some 20 GTO's, or at least it looks like it does. Plus, there is an AutoX looking, twin hood scooped Red GTO running around... hrmmmm.

I say it will be retro but with a modern look. I don't think they will be focused solely on making it look like the old ones. We will have to wait and see, november sounds good to me too! I can't stand the thought of waiting as long as is being predicted.
