Holden Statesman/Caprice with Buick badges and the Commodore SS side vents on the indicators.

LaCrosse aint bad, but that one is a killer! We need the Statesman/Caprice here as either a Buick or Impala.

While the LaCrosse is nice...ill take LS2 RWD sedan over it. Sad part is that the 3.6 CXS LaCrosse probably costs as much as this car....

Re: Large, red, sporty, Buick

I guess I don't understand what "Buick" is supposed to be???

Chevrolet - Every Mans car w/ some spice
Pontiac - Is now supposed to be a car w/ "Class"
Saturn - Cheap for ppl that can't afford a Chevy or Pontiac
GMC - Kind of the Pontiac Truck division in a wierd sort of way
Cadillac - High end cars "Luxury"
Buick - ??? Kind of like the Napolene Dynamite of GM? GROSS!

Ford and GM amaze me. Btw...have you seen the new Ford focus Ford is giving to the china market? compare it to the crap we get force fed here .

It's sad but true, GM and Ford's best cars are overseas. Considering the U.S market is their home turf, that is quite sad and ironic.

The problem of the US getting crappy cars boils down to the popularity/profitibility of trucks and SUV's in this country. GM and Ford have to put in their best efforts for foreign market cars because they can't sell SUVs and trucks there(or in high enough volumes to make things worthwhile).

You hit the nail on the head. That and we've almost come to accept less in our bread and butter cars. They sold decently well, and GM felt the money was better invested in the more profitible trucks and SUV"s anyways. That all lead to sagging car perceptions and sales.

But that's all changing now, atleast i hope so. Hopefully by now, GM and Ford realize that they can't have a weak car line here in the U.S and expect to survivie. That distorted prioritizing (as well as other things) is what got them into this mess to begin with.

I really love a lot of their overseas stuff.

what I want to know are these cars sold outside the U.S. as good as the rivals like Toyota and Honda in those markets?? if so dont you think cutting down on diffrent platforms would make more $$$ if one kinda car is used worldwide..kinda like Toyota does?

seems like GM needs to decide who's going to buy a buick, me or my grandparents?
