Just some random Auto Show notes...
-Alot of cars I were expecting are AWOL....like Guions Buick coupe, the STS, and the LaCrosse. Also there was no mind blowing Cadillac like we have come to expect. I know we got the Vette and the Mustang...but I almost feel let down. Looks like Chicago and NY will have a bit more interest this year.
-The G6 will come in three trim levels at first, base, GT and GTP. I thought it was only base and GT. The GT gets the the 200HP 3.5L and the GTP gets a 245HP 3.9L...the four should come in the base model...but according to GM, that won't be released for over a year. Also, somewhere the 3.9L gained 5 HP, because 245 is what GM has on their site. Also I think the interior shots don't do it justice...the materials are high quality....the design just resembles the current GA alot, so your first impulse is that it is ugly. The new sunroof makes me think "Cool, but why?"
-One would assume a fully loaded G6 GTP will come in at somewhere around $26-27K, but no more than a Grand Prix GTP...
-The Bronco is a small SUV..in case no one has noticed yet..matter of fact smaller than the Escape!
-The Mark X Roadster is obviously a rebadged T-bird, and according to the Detroit News, if it were to see production it wouldn't have the sliding glass roof, but would cost $70,000+ and be Lincoln's answer to the XLR *snickers*. Also....is it me or is Lincoln's new grille the worst evar.....
-Honda debuted their unibody Odessey based truck.
More like for the father who like to try on the contents of his wife's underwear drawer...
-Scion flew out five moderator's from a Scion enthusiast site and paid their expenses so they could be at the tC intro. Looks like I like the wrong company
That is all for now...sorry if this has been mentioned elseware

It answers the question of what else might be added to Ford's SUV lineup, Mays suggested. "The Bronco concept fits underneath the Escape in size and price," he noted.
-Honda debuted their unibody Odessey based truck.
The target customer for the SUT is the “cool dad”—the young, active father who’s highly engaged with his family and has an active, outdoor lifestyle.

I really wanted to go to NAIAS this year, but now after seeing all the car pics in mags and on the internet, the only exciting thing for me is the Corvette. I can't go to NAIAS since I'm going to Florida on vacation next week, but I'm going to check out the Chicago auto show to see what all I missed. Will the STS be at Chicago?
