I'll be interested to see where Ford's performance division goes from here.

One interesting thing about that pic is the blue GT in the background. It has what appears to be a hoodscoop tacked on. Rumors are flying the Mach1 is just about ready to go and should be out in fall 2005 as a '06. Ford has a way of showing what they're working on when THEY want to. Regardless, I think SVT is going to be just fine.

Re: John Coletti Retires

That's interesting considering he announced it on December 6th.

I have heard that SVT is dead, done, kaput....and that Carroll Shelby will be spearheading Ford's line of performance vehicles under a different name. We know Shelby is teaming up with Ford again but it seems his level of involvement will be much more than just as a figurehead.

I'd like to know how they knew before when Coletti himself announced on the 6th.

Shelby won't have too much to do with SVT as far as management goes. They've announced that Hai Thaung <sp?> is in charge now. That's not to say they're not working together but SVT and Shelby are two seperate entities, so don't go on a wild goose chase.

I just noticed that file is saved with "cobra" in the name. That could very well be a Cobra and not a Mach1.
