If you click news on the Pontiac site, you will find a section on the '04 GTO.

The more I look at the lineage, the more the '04's styling seems right. To me, it is what a modern GTO should look like.
Of note, "300+ HP V8" stated on the bottom of that page. I hope they aren't lowering the bar from the 350-hp mark.
