Interesting though.

I thought my votech teacher was full of BS when he was telling us about GM making vehicles that are basically "throw-aways" because all are exactly the same aside from the body structure.

I guess not.

I'd love to be able to change from a Camaro to a Silverado with a few bolts......if only I could do that and keep my V8.......

That is pretty damn cool. The future looks bright. I am glad GM seems to be leading the way as well

But would you really want a Corvette and a full size pickup on the same platform?

Yes it is a genious idea from a business and marketing perspective, but true car guys are going to slowly go away I think.

good God that is about the UGLIEST car body I have ever seen!

Hydrogen huh? It would suck to get into an accident. At least gasoline doesn't instantly and aggressivly engulf you and half the block in a firey inferno just from puncturing the fuel tank

Well, regardless, we need to rid ourselves of our dependency on oil and Hydrogen is our best bet. I mean 2/3 of the earth is salt water.

Uh, didn't GM introduce and display that at NAIAS 2005? Or maybe 2004?

Great idea, ugly car, but that's a simple enough challenge. I like the idea of modular. The piece made me think of building RC cars on a bigger scale.

p.s. They're going to have to do some serious weatherproofing if they want to use that little box of electronics on a truck. At least a truck with any off-roading capability.
