I'm not into trucks....so why am I liking this one?

The ZQ8 Colorado has really started to catch my interest. Eventhough I'm not really into trucks.
Where else can you get an American RWD, with 5 speed, 220 hp, and 17" wheels for low $20's

Matter of taste, I guess...
To me, at least in that picture, it seems like the cab and the bed are from two different vehicles and do not match at all...
And what comes to availability of the type of vehicle described in the first post, at least I tend to see a whole lot of ads in papers selling GM's full-size trucks for low- and under 20K brand new.
They do have 220+hp, RWD etc. Might not have a 5-speed or 17" wheels, but still...

A 2WD, regular cab weighs around 3,300 lbs.
Add the gear ratios into the mix and this thing will blaze the tires.
The first gear in the M5 is 3.75:1. I tried to get a 3.73:1 rear but it wasn't available. I had to settle on the 3.42:1 rear.
But even so, in first gear, this truck will have an overall ratio of 12.825:1. If the 3.73 axle was available, it would have been 14:1. I'm actually thinking that would've been TOO steep. Would've been shifting like a rig. 1st gear would've been so short.
To put this into perspective, our M6 F-bodies have a 2.66 1st gear and a 3.42 final drive. Overall ratio in first is 9.0972:1. That, to me, is pretty lame.
And going back to Z284ever's post: That's what I've been saying. And that's why I ordered a regular cab ZQ8 with the M5 and I5.
What other vehicle could I get that has RWD, stick, decent power, looks good, sporty, American made and is relatively inexpensive? And not a Ford.
