If for some reason GM cant use the camaro name will this do?

If GM makes a car that fits the Camaro slot but cant name it so. just using the three trim levels lets people know what the car really is and gives them room to put the Camaro name back on the car when its possible!

The press would call it Camaro. Or make the refrence. People would go to Chevy dealers and ask for Camaro. Since the dealers are not owned by GM they could call it and advertise it as such.....

If they for some unknown reason, CAN NOT use the actual name no matter what, that might be the only way to resolve it. It would sound really weird though, even if magazines and people called it Camaro anyway, going to the dealer and seeing the Chevy RS, Chevy SS, and Chevrolet Z28 just would not look right.

Most 4th gen Camaro Owners would call the cars by Z/28 and SS. Some one says "Wuddya drivin man?" " I have a SS"

Very true, as it's always been like that. What do you drive? An IROC-Z, a Z28, an SS, a Berlinetta,....a Type LT! But not being able to say Camaro once in a while would be ridiculous. The car needs it's name.

And it would satisfy Marketing's urge to imitate the europeans and name everything in friggin code letters...

Better than nothin though.

It's gotta have a name.

Everything would be "detached" and confusing without something tying it all together.

I understand that the car needs a name. But If they name the car RS and SS and have Z/28 as a Suspention/brakes/power increase package on the SS model then the car is the Chevy SS and the Chevy RS. Thats pretty simple and everyone would know what it was. This, again leaves the door open to put the Camaro name back on it when possible with very little backlash.
