I think I may have discovered the ugliest dash of 2004...

The 2004 Nissan Quest

I've seen plenty of these, but I had no idea their dash was so incredibly hideous! Now, that being said I do think the skylight/sunroof(s) is/are pretty cool. But man, that dash is killing me.

Hint to designers:

Never, ever channel the spirit of Picasso when you design car interiors.

Things may not end up where they're supposed to be.

Well all I know is, as time goes on, interior design seems to just take a nose dive. The more "inventive" the cockpit gets, the more hideous it looks.

For 1999, I can name what was the ugliest new dashboard...its in my Grand Am Love the car, hate the dash...it was almost enough to make me buy an Alero. Ick...

I rented a grand am the other day - that dash is one of the worst I've ever seen. I don't think I could look at that thing every day...

I don't mind the Grand Am's dash. One thing I don't like is Nissan's crappy tacked-on gauge cluster. The way you have this little thing just glued to the steering wheel in the 350z and Altima and maybe Maxima? Anyway, i can't stand that, it just seems so cheap and as if they wanted to make it all gimmicky.............big thumbs down on that.

Why does Nissan insist on putting that "Hitler-esque" mustache looking thing on the front of all their cars? Just doesn't look right to me. Other than that, the Quest looks pretty good to me.

What is it with this center mounted speedo craze? I think that's worhtless much less even more dangerous! Now you have to take your eyes COMPLETELY off of the road in order to see how fast you are going! But maybe since it's a minivan they decided that it didn't matter since soccer moms don't ever pay attention to how fast they are going anyway.

Certainly non-traditional. Center-mounted guage pods just don't make sense.

Btw, all the new Nissans are looking pretty goofy these days.

I also just noticed something else. It appears that if the shifter was in the "Drive" position, the climate controls would be at least partially blocked. My friend's CRV is the same way.
