Should be higher volume in those months.
I'm sure they will sell more - but how MUCH more is the question? Will volume double (at least), like it needs to?

That is more than a fair enough time frame. I'm hoping to hear something by the 2006 NAIAS in Jan.

Actually I'm considering trading my Z28 in on a used Silverado. My mechanic just told me that adding a supercharger to the Silverado/Tahoe 5.3L will make our supercharged Mustang 4.6L look silly.

Every post in Bob Lutz' blog I think just makes things look worse for Camaro. In mid-2005 they're talking about "Studying" a new RWD passenger car? Wow, if this was 2001 that might be big news. We know a bit more than that from insiders on here, but Lutz always makes the Camaro sound like it'll be back in 10 years.

What? GM is studying this phenomenon? isn't already late to be studying when Ford sells 15,000 Mustangs every month..

That's what GM wants you and everyone else to think. Picture this. You're playing Texas Hold 'em. You have pocket Aces. Are you going to say, "Hey I may have and Ace or two" or are you going to play it up like you're not overly enthusiastic about your cards?

Sheesh. Its like everyone here is expecting Bob, Red Planet or someone else from GM to come on out and say, "sssh, we're building a new Camaro for 2008... but don't tell anyone."

Wake up people. There have been enough hints; its like smacking yourself in the head with a 2x4.

I agree, there have been plenty of hints dropped. Me? I'm just really tired of the talk. Talk talk talk talk....at this point, when GM builds the new Camaro and I can see it in front of me, that's when I'll get excited. Bob Lutz dancing around and posting his wonderful cryptic words won't do it for me anymore like they did a year or two ago. We've heard for 3 years now about all the exciting stuff in GM's pipeline...and we're still talking about it...I know the stuff is coming, but the words don't interest me, PRODUCT does!!!

Sorry maybe I'm just irritated at too many things right now and I'm letting it out here, but I don't understand why people still cling to every little nugget Lutz says when he mentions "heritage" or "rear drive". There's nothing here we haven't read 100 times before.

Picture this. The pace of GM's poker game was so slow, everybody changed the channel.

Re: I think Bob wants to say the "C" word.....

At this point I don't think we will see a new Camaro until sometime in the early part of the next decade, unless we get transformed Holden. GM is sooooo slow, if the brisk sales of the new Mustang doesn't light a fire under there butt's nothing will.
2007 is out, I think we would be seeing/hearing a lot more if 2007 were the year. They can't talk C-word but something is coming, I think later than sooner. For gods sake nobody has spotted a camoed RWD test mule of any kind yet, then on top of that you take all of the recent problems and product delays.
Take my opinion for what its worth, I am just an outsider who gathers info here and there to come to my own conclusions.
If there is a new Camaro right around the corner that they are going to take the wraps off next year, it will be the best kept secert GM has ever had.

Remember the original poster is far more in the know than any of us (cept guy maybe) and he wouldn't have posted that blog unless he was dropping his own little hint.

Re: I think Bob wants to say the "C" word.....

It's refreshing to see more comments on the blog like......

"Bob,
Maybe do fewer studies, get quicker on your feet and take the lead in bringing out gotta have GM products
"

and fewer comments like......

" Dear, dearest Mr. Lutz sir,
I am president of the GM cheerleading society at my school. The Malibu is the most awesomest car ever....especially in beige
"
