I'm not sure, my car didn't come with that option and I know my friend who has a 2003 GTP doesn't as well. Was that an option on the 2004 GTP Comp G package?

Its probably not an option then I guess, I dont see the purpose of having one in a GP anyhow.

Re: I should've bought a GXP...

A couple of things from the a**hole that sells GXPs

1) G meter is a GXP only thing. It was not part of the Comp G package, nor was it offered before '05.
2) davera, unfortunately for '06 the digital climate is part of the leather package On your '05, it was separate for $295, I believe. The sport red one I had on hold with my dealership did not have it, and I was thrilled. For '06 though, the leather package increased from $665 to $1,015, and now includes the damn digital climate. I don't like it either. While that seems like a big jump in price for the 2 options, what is nice is when you order it with the $1,590 moonroof/Monsoon/6 CD package, the 2 packages combined knock $500 off, so its worth it. Interestingly, I've ordered 2 '06s now that both came through at $31,795. The '05 I wanted stickered for $32,700. So the '06s are $1,000 less, and include the digital cliamte that did not come on my '05. I like value pricing

Unfortunately, an '06 still currently costs $1,400 more than my '05 would have, due to a $1k rebate versus $2k, and there's no employee price on the '06. Either way, the GXP is a performance bargain for all that you get. I'm jealous of those who have one

WTF? The 396 stroker in my SS averages about 18 MPG in mixed driving. With the stock LT1, the worst I ever got was 15 MPG, and it averaged more like 19-20 MPG in mixed driving. Heck, I'd expect to get much better than 13.1 MPG if that 5.3 L was in a full-size pickup. What's the deal? It's not like the gearing is really short or anything like that.

With regards to the kind words that C&D had for the GXP, does put an end to the whole "the media hates GM" meme?

Her total commute is about 5 miles one way in stop and go traffic, so that might have something to do with it. Looking at other peoples milage I'd say my wifes milage is not to far off.

I don't think C&D hates GM, becase they always have good stuff to say about the Corvette, CTS, and if I remember correctly they would always pick the Camaro over the Mustang. Alot of times as much as I hate to admit it some of their opinions are on the money. The GXP is an awesome car I highly recommend that every one should take one out for a drive. You will be pleasantly surprised

With that kind of commute, I would say her MPG ratings are right on then.
