Good move in my book. I'd like to see a hybrid CTS and BRX too, both with the direct injection 3.6L DOHC V6

 

Great move. Now wealthy people can buy the Escalde who are concerned about gas milage or gas consumtion/environment and still get a great, large vehicle. Being the only one of it's kind will no doubt help too. I wonder what the power will be like and will it equal or eclipse the 380-400 hp gas engine?

 

This is a definate plus and can only be a positve effect on the GMT-900 SUV's as a whole now since the Tahoe and now the Escalade and possibly the Yukon might get it as well. Hopefully it will bring more sales to GM with their SUV's so they can fund other programs

 

Yeah, and I bet a Hybrid Escalade would be very high profile and bring a lot of good press to the 900's as well as GM in general.

 

I think it is pretty schweet! GM needs more vehicles like this.

Good news. GM's large SUV's already get top ratings in their classes in terms of fuel economy, and hybrid technology would help them further improve on that.

 

I know the hybrid Lexus RX400h is STILL waiting list-only and I think it has been out for at least a year now... it's just the hot ticket item for some reason. I could never bring myself to pay almost 50 grand for a vehicle that, no matter how nice, is still sitting ontop of the Toyota Camry chassis...
