How would you change the Mustang?
Re: How would you change the Mustang?
The size is 'ok' for me. A little big for my tastes... but I care more about the weight and chassis, really.
My biggest complaint is that it looks terrible. I'd almost rather have the old 99-04 style stang and deal with the antiquated chassis, lower quality interior, and less powerful motor if I were looking at both cars new.
My wife loves the look of the new 'Stang though. So oh well. She likes the 'vette too and that what I love, so that's what we'll stick with when we look to purchase a muscle car.

I like the new mustangs but the size and weight keeps me from getting too excited. The SN95 was the perfect size and weight, it just needed to be built to 2005 standards with a better optimized interior layout.
I guess they could also reduce the "underbite" condition where the bumper sticks out so far past the grille.

Re: How would you change the Mustang?
Make it smaller than an accord + whatever is needed for the V-8. 400Hp and take $3500 off the sticker. Man ppl are suckers.
EDIT: if they did that they wouldn't have to loose the 3500.

I think the grille looks too big without the GT's headlights.
I think they could have done a better job with the tail light & rear end design.
I would have made the interior door panels out of something other than hard plastic.
I would have given it a bit of a "butt tuck".
I would have skipped that gizmo that drops the window when you open the door.
I would have made the steering wheel a little softer.
I would have put better tires on the base models.
But none of these were an option, so I didn't vote.

Wouldn't they be able to lower the pony's hood with an LS2?
Did I mention LS2? Well, that DOHC donk does require some clearance room. I think that's why the Mustang looks the way it does.
In all seriousness, I voted "I wouldn't change it.". Why change a winning formula. If only the Camaro could/would look so good.
