How are RX-8's selling?

How are RX-8's selling?
I have yet to see one on the road and the local dealer has a few out front and about 10-15 in the back of the lot. How are they selling? I thought they were supposed to be decently high volume but like I said, I have yet to see one on the road.

I see them in my rear-view mirror all the time 
They sold 2209 in August, and 3551 so far this year which seems a bit light considering they're supposed to be the hot car du jour. Perhaps they're supply constrained?

They have only been out 2 months? I thought it was more like 5-6 months. I don't really like the car either. It does have some weird proportions. It seems that with a little bit of tweaking, it could be much better.

I've seen only 1 RX8 on the road here in LA.
To put this in perspective, I've seen at least a dozen new 2004 Ford F150s to date.
Perhaps a bad omen if GM's considering producing a sedan that resembles the SS concept.

I've seen 3 or 4 RX-8's by my house in Flower Mound (nicer suburb of DFW) but none really else where. I saw a new-body style Viper yesterday for the first time two blocks from my house. I see alot more 350Z/G35 coupes and verts than I do RX-8s around Dallas and Ft. Worth.
