How much more would you be willing to pay for forged internals?
How much more would you be willing to pay for forged internals?
Forged pistons, rods and crank and stronger rod bolts.
The question assumes that the added cost is tacked on to the sticker price of the car at purchase, but not as an option.
A follow up poll could be done with forged internals being listed as an enjgine option, but right now I'm trying to figure out how valuable the better internals are to enthusiasts.

YOu can forget forged pistons right now regardless of the cost unless a highly boosted Forced Induction engine is offered. Forged pistons rattle like mad on cold startup until the engine warms up. People have taken LT1s and LS1s in for service complaining of engine noise that turns out to be harmless cold start piston slap...I can only imagine the number of people that would be complaining if there were forged pistons in there.
