Question How do you rank the Sunfire's facelift compared to the 2002 model?

Keep in mind it is a facelift and not a new model, please.

There seems to be mixed reaction to the new look. Personally, I think it is MUCH better than the 02 look.

I say a 'Little worse.' My main problem is the Saturn-style copy. If Saturn didn't exist, I would probably have no preference.

Now had you asked about the Cavalier....

Jeff

P.S. Darth, how do you pronounce your screen name? Is it Darth Zed, or Darth Said or other?

Perhaps in another poll...

[NERD] I pronounce it Zed (You 'nucks should appreciate that, eh? )... no clue what the heck it even means really... I think when I finally registered for the board after a year of lurking, I had just seen SW: Episode One, so I made up my own Sith Lord name. LOL [/NERD]

Yeah I was up at the Pontiac dealership this last weekend checking out the new Vibe GT with my friend whose looking for a new car. Yes that’s right I said Vibe... but anyway we looked at the Sunfire's shortly. I like them better than before, defiantly more sporty but they look kind of weird. I couldn’t put my finger on it. Maybe it was the front fascia kind of jutting out. Cool to see the ecotec in those. I imagine they should sell pretty well.

BTW those Vibe GTs weren’t all that bad for what they are. I’m not a fan of their styling at all. However the interior is pretty cool. DVD player, 180 hp, a 6 speed and a pretty cool looking dash for like $22,000. This seems like a pretty good entry level car. I didn’t like this car at all when I first saw it but I have to admit after the test drive I think its kind of cool. Pontiac is headed in the right direction with these two cars.

It's one of the best names on here. I always thought it had a cool ring to it. Assuming it was 'Zed', of course.

What's SW?....nerd.

I like the new look. I almost got a Sunfire back in 2000, which I thought I liked. There were a couple things that bothered me. I didn't like how the taillights stretched across and made the butt look droopy, I didn't like the rear backups in the bumper, and I didn't entirely like the front bumper that much. I love the new look though. Heck if a supercharged version came out, it would be an awfully tempting daily driver .

Interesting so far...

I heard a lot of squaking about how bad the new look is, and it has a considerable lead in the 'I like it better' side...

I was thinking the exact same thing when I looked at the current results.

to me it's obviously much cleaner and simpler, with fewer uninspired bubble curves. it has lost none of its distinction, while losing plenty of its deadweight. far from perfect, but closer than before, so that translates to much better for my $.

Now a sizable advantage for people who like it better than before.

Very Interesting...

Perhaps I'll run these polls when I hear people yakin' about a restyle...

I'm still surprised by these results. I would have never seen this coming.

I agree... just goes to show that the complainers almost always out-voice those who like the changes.

I, personally, try to voice what I like as much as what I hate... but I guess it's human nature to complain about something we do not like...

(Granted... this is a very small sampling, but interesting, nonetheless.)
